First Aid at Work Requalification for Individuals

Duration: 2 days*

Suitable for: Anyone who has a valid and current First Aid at Work Certificate (see note below)

* Note: This course consists of 12 hours contact time and is usually run as a 2-day course.

First Aid at Work Requalification (HSE approved) course outline

The content of this course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive and includes revision in all topics covered in
the 3 day First Aid at Work course, together with updates on any changes to H&S legislation or best practice occurring during the last 3 years.

How to check the validity of your existing First Aid at Work Certificate

Your certificate can be one issued by a different First Aid training organisation. If you are in doubt as to whether the certificate is “First Aid at Work” or some other first aid certificate, look for the wording “has passed an examination in first aid for the purposes of the health & safety (first aid) regulations 1981”. If in doubt, please ask us for advice.

Additional information about the First Aid at Work Requalification course

All trainees will receive a course manual. Attendees who successfully complete the final assessment will receive a First Aid at Work certificate that is valid for three years and enables them to continue as First Aiders under the HSE Regulations.

This course can also be provided in-house for groups of trainees.

This course complies with the new HSE requirements for First Aid training. We also offer the “annual skills update” refresher session which the HSE recommends is attended by all qualified first aiders at least twice during their 3 year qualification period.

The trainer was very engaging. It was clear he knew the science behind why things were done, not just “because”. He was always happy to answer any questions on the subject. His management was also impressive when it came to the less co-operative members of the group. The topic was clear and concise with information suitable to all work places, including domestic and public.

I found this training a lot better than first aid training I’ve been to before. Not only was I having a first aid course, but it also felt a bit like a biology session too, which was good. I can’t think of any ways to improve it, as it was very interesting.
